Company Description

Company Description

Informa Global Markets, part of the international Informa group, is the global source for independent, actionable intelligence on credit, rates and foreign exchange markets. We are hiring a database analyst for our North American Credit team to record new bond issue data in our database and to use that data to support broader market analysis.

Job Description

Whether based in New York or working remotely, the successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to data integrity and a passion for financial markets. The candidate will react quickly to enter real time information on new debt issuance from pre-launch and launch phases through to pricing and reception. This is a key competitive focus at IGM so determination, accuracy and a will to win are key to success.

Other aspects of the role include assisting with the creation of daily and weekly reports for IGM’s credit data clients and working with senior members of the credit team on the production of additional content initiatives across all fixed income disciplines. On occasion, there may also be an opportunity to work with analysts covering foreign exchange and government bond markets.

The ideal applicant should be enthusiastic and willing to learn, work well within a team as well as independently and be strongly motivated to shape their working experience and career inside our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter deal terms and conditions, legal notices and other public capital markets announcements quickly and accurately to a set format
  • Ensure the integrity of the data
  • Analyze the data to contribute to IGM’s credit reports and other content initiatives during the North American time zone
  • Source and share information/content across other desks within the credit suite and with clients where required
  • Develop and maintain a regional contact base, cultivating sources from both sell and buy-side communities
  • Eventually contribute to pre- and post-launch analysis of major deals utilizing timely and accurate market derived information (rumors, price talk, book-build and relative value analysis)

Qualifications

  • An interest in Financial Markets with knowledge of fixed income markets a plus
  • Debt capital markets or syndicate experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Fast accurate data entry skills and desire to be first with updates
  • Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to cultivate relationships both internally and externally
  • A team player above all

The pay range for this position is $44,625.00 – $55,000.00 depending on experience.
