This position is located at Vandenberg SFB, California.
This position is eligible for a partial/hybrid telecommuting schedule.
Essential Functions
- Develop, administer, monitor, and maintain systems in a 24×7 highly available production environment.
- Manage user and group accounts (ColdFusion, Remedy, ASP.net).
- Manage Structured Query Language (SQL) Servers (2012 and 2016) to include developing, editing, maintaining, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting tables, views, stored procedures, functions, queries and other SQL elements and variables.
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software applications written in ColdFusion, BMC Remedy and ASP.net using C# and JavaScript.
- Develop and administer code within ColdFusion, BMC Remedy, and ASP.Net/C#/JavaScript environments using development practices that ensure a secure environment.
- Develop, monitor, tune, and maintain Internet Information Services (IIS) websites.
- Work with external vendors/consultants as needed to diagnose complex problems and drive resolution.
- Maintain application license compliance.
- Develop and maintain user manuals and train users.
- Troubleshoot, resolve anomalies, errors, and/or outages as they are discovered.
- Resolve system alarms quickly and provide timely escalation.
- Work on system initiatives, new projects, and support process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences, write user manuals and instructions, and develop reports to support new or existing tools or processes.
- Able to work independently to troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and identify and isolate technical issues.
- Ability to utilize systems monitoring software to collect and manage events and system status.
- Ability to take ownership of issues, analysis, and resolution efforts, and commit to “doing what it takes” to resolve technical issues regardless of the effort or timeframe required.
- Position requires a high degree of professionalism, organizational skills, the ability to work multiple tasks concurrently, while flexing to changes in task priorities.
- History of punctuality and reliability, with a strong work ethic.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, or related military experience, equivalent technical experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience administering and developing in either Remedy, ColdFusion, or ASP.net using C# and JavaScript.
- Experience developing, administrating, and maintaining SQL Servers (2008/2012).
- Experience managing SQL Server, ColdFusion and Remedy user and group accounts.
- Experience using ColdFusion and BMC Remedy development and administrative tools that include the automating routine administration tasks.
- Experience with object-oriented coding skills using ASP.Net/C# and JavaScript.
- Experience setting up and maintaining IIS within a Windows Server environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience tuning and maintaining SQL Server hardware is desired.
- Experience developing, administering, and maintaining frontend and backend for Microsoft Access databases and applications, desired.
- Experience designing, developing, and implementing Maximo solutions to support complex business requirements and objectives, desired.
- Experience with Oracle, desired.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- COMPTIA Security+ CE certification, or the ability to obtain and maintain certification within 90-days of employment.
- Technical certification in SQL Server 2012/2016 Administration is highly desirable
- Understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory and Domain architecture, Network Technology File Systems (NTFS) permissions, Domain Name System (DNS), Operating System (OS) security, and systems patching.
- Understanding of networking to include routing, subnets, User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), Internet Protocol Addresses (IP) and Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN)’s.
- Understanding of Network-attached storage (NAS) and/or Storage Area Network (SAN) technologies.
- Occasional travel in support of work and meetings at off base locations may be required.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

The salary range for this role is $82,450 – $152,369; however, RGNext considers several factors when extending an offer for employment, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training and preferred skills, and knowledge.
