Database Programming Analyst
This position is Contingent upon Contract Funding
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Database Programming Analyst who will be key to support the Navy Regional Maintenance Center, located in Norfolk, VA.
Job Description:
- Analyze, design, program, test, document, and maintain all databases to include:
- Command Alpha Roster, Manning Tool, Command Execution Report, Engineering Service Request (ESR), Alteration Installation Team (AIT), Workload Forecast Module (WFM), Quality Assurance (QA), Training Tracker, Personnel Tracker, Subject Matter Expert (SME) Database, Technical Competency Health Assessment (TCHA) Database, Regional Competency Health Assessment (RCHA), Business Objects Server and Interfaces, and other data storage solutions at MARMC.
- Prepare, revise, and maintain a database that tracks the execution of all mission, reimbursable, and non- modeled mission workload.
- Prepare, develop briefs, and attend meetings with external customers such as United States Fleet Forces Command (USFFC) Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC), Digital Industrial Operations (DIO), and Type Commander (TYCOM).
- Attend meetings related to projects, working groups, initiatives, and technical conferences as required.
- Coordinate with departments throughout MARMC to establish requirements, milestones, and deliverables for database solutions.
- Facilitate updates to program data from applicable interfaces on a routine basis.
- Maintain specialized databases, graphical user interfaces, and software to assist with alpha roster management, training tracker, financial reporting, budget development, manning and workload tracking requirements.
- Design and implement processes for generating reports used by command management.
- Train and assist MARMC personnel on database methodology to help improve data integrity and implementation.
- Perform data analysis on large datasets to assist with data requests and reporting.
- Assist with special reports, emergent data calls, and respond to any reporting request from MARMC.
- Administrative services such as development of flowcharts and presentations, document user-guides processes and business rules.
Qualifications:
- Must have a HS Diploma or Equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in the Microsoft Office Suite to include: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access.
- Must have experience working with SQL, Tableau, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- Must have a Microsoft Office Specialist: Microsoft Excel Expert Certification.
- Must have a Microsoft Office Specialist: Microsoft Access Expert Certification.
Security Clearance:
- Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel – less than 10%.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.

Pay Range: $65,000 – $75,000 per year
