CFWB has three (3) borough-based Resource Areas (RAs) responsible for verifying and re-certifying the eligibility of all low income (non-TANF) families for voucher child-care services. This includes Eligibility Determination and Administrative which includes Intake, Data Entry and Scanning & Indexing. The Office of Child Care Operations provides access to childcare subsidies for eligible families, including low-income families not on public assistance, so they can secure childcare from a provider in their community of choice. One of the main functions of the team is determining eligibility for low-income families seeking childcare. The borough-based offices are responsible for verifying and re-certifying the eligibility of all low-income families. The team is also responsible for issuing subsidized childcare vouchers to assist eligible low-income families with childcare payments at private, participating programs, and enrolling new providers. The office of Child Care Operations also staffs a Call Center/Hotline that’s available to families and providers seeking assistance with childcare and enrollment support.
The Team Leader of Data Entry/Scan Index supervises the administrative staff engaged in the data entry of case and child information into the Automated Child Care Information System (ACCIS) and the subsequent scanning and indexing child care documents into the HRA One Viewer. The duties and responsibilities of the DE/SI Team Leader are:
• Provide supervision of staff and/or oversight of work procedures and activities associated with intake, scanning & indexing to support overall eligibility determination and processing
• Compile and prepare reports on case status and processing
• Prepare and distribute work schedules for team members, and coordinate work of individual team members
• Ensure Team Review and verify eligibility documents scanned to the HRA One Viewer
• Liaise with other Resource Area (RA) units to ensure workflow is maintained
• Trouble shoots errors/complaints by researching problems and initiating corrective action
• May update and maintain case and program information in the ACCIS as necessary
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty; or
2. An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience described in “1” above; or
3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience including one year of the administrative supervisory experience as described in “1” above;
4. Education and/or experience equivalent to “1”, “2”, or “3” above. However, all candidates must possess the one year of administrative or supervisory experience as described in “1” above. Education above the high school level may be substituted for the general clerical/administrative experience (but not for the one year of administrative or supervisory experience described in “1” above) at a rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience up to a maximum of 3½ years.
Additional Information
THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY BETWEEN $53,057 – $61,015.

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
