Join our Supply Chain team as the next Demand Planner/Scheduler! This role is hubbed out of our manufacturing headquarters located in Santa Rosa, California. The Demand Planner/Scheduler provides strategic Supply Chain support to improve operations, and achieve corporate objectives. Organizes planning systems and processes including: sales and operations planning (S&OP), forecasting, weekly capacity planning, and various product lifecycle management (PLM) activities. Frequently interfaces with Operations, Sales, R&D, and other key departments to identify underperforming areas within the operation, while supporting efficient improvement efforts.

WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS (ESSENTIAL DUTIES):

  • S&OP process owner and Demand Planner – captures all incoming sources of demand, including new items and customers
  • Manages dissemination and alignment of information, and addresses the impact of each demand stream in the operation
  • Generates forecast models based on trends and demand patterns; Proposes and implements solutions to improve accuracy
  • Supports all forecasting and related data into corporate modeling tools and systems; Validates data integrity and addresses discrepancies
  • Monitors and reports on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies as related to operations capacity, materials, and overall fulfillment execution
  • Improves existing and/or develops new production, inventory, and PLM strategies that support company objectives
  • Identifies, communicates, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Participates in special Supply Chain Department projects and process improvement efforts
  • Creates, reviews, revises, and communicates the weekly production schedule to support corporate objectives, while making the most efficient use of resources
  • Adapts production schedule on the fly due to order requirements and/or cancellations, or due to internal factors such as material shortages, production line equipment and staffing, etc.
  • Collaborates with R&D, Production and other supporting departments to ensure timely execution of new product launches, production test runs, discontinuances, and continuous improvement process activities
  • Tracks and reports on Finished Goods (FG) inventory levels
  • Ensures inventory discrepancies are analyzed and corrected to maintain accuracy and lot coding integrity
  • Recommends methods for maximizing utilization of production resources
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent, and a minimum of 5+ years experience in demand planning, forecasting, or production planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of end-to-end supply chain concepts
  • Advanced problem-solving skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and propose solutions
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to apply concepts such as statistical inference to practical situations
  • Prior experience leading continuous improvement efforts and other projects
  • Advanced working knowledge with scheduling functions utilizing ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment required
  • Expert Excel user with experience in Microsoft Access and SQL programming highly desired
  • Consumer Package Goods (CPG) or food manufacturing experience is a huge plus
  • Prompt and regular attendance onsite is required

THE PAY: Competitive annual base salary starting between $82,000 – $90,000 (DOE). PLUS our generous company-sponsored benefits package including: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K match, Life Insurance, Flexible Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and so much more!
