Are you ready to make an impact? Modern Woodmen is seeking career-minded candidates who will provide leadership to the Enterprise Program Management Office as department manager. You would be responsible for implementing Modern Woodmen’s enterprise projects including defining metrics, developing cost/benefit analysis, calculating return on investment, and determining methodologies, project lifecycles and financial impacts of projects.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the National Secretary’s Office with the continued development of the Enterprise Program Management Office, reporting directly to our National Secretary (COO), EVP.
- Assist with the evaluation and selection of project management and portfolio management tools and methodologies.
- Provide oversight, leadership, and training to project managers in project management methodologies, execution techniques and activities that help ensure project success.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the Enterprise Program Management Office staff.
- Prepare for and participate in Senior Management meetings to administer the project prioritization process. Support and uphold project prioritization decisions. Maintain project inventories of both active and pending projects.
- Ensure that new project business cases are correctly and accurately developed.
- Make sure project plans and strategies are effective and consistent with Modern Woodmen’s policies and procedures in producing successful projects.
- Provide routine and ad-hoc reporting to the Society’s governance and leadership teams. Audit and report on active projects.
- Develop and manage the department’s budget.
What we need:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience, or similar, working on and managing project activities.
- PMP certification or willingness to obtain within 4 years.
- Be firm, yet flexible in order to meet ever-changing stakeholder demands, as well as being personable.
- A sense of urgency to drive immediate resolution of problems when they occur.
- High degree of adaptability and tolerance for ambiguity.
- Able to manage, coach, mentor and motivate team members.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Willingness to obtain industry certifications and expertise.
Additional information about this opportunity:
- The annual pay range for this position is $120,000-$140,000. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
- This is an in-office position located at our home office in Rock Island, IL.
- This is a full-time position: 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), Monday- Friday, with flexible start time between 7:00AM-9:00AM.
