Job Summary:

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Set department strategy and focus to attain gross margin goals.
• Provide sales forecasting to Nelson-Jameson management team as well as to strategic suppliers – whether it be annually, quarterly or monthly.
• Analyze sales, dashboards and other reports to:
o Allocate personnel and company resources.
o Improve line, supplier, and/or product performance.
o Identify trends and techniques to apply elsewhere.
o Discover and solve sales and marketing problems and potential problems such as lost customers or declining sales.
o Communicate analysis results to management, other team members and, when appropriate, other departments and/or suppliers.
o Collaborate with the Marketing Department on marketing plans for strategic supplier partners.
• Engage in end user and/or corporate customer sales calls and activities approximately 20% of the time (or as required). Develop relationships and gain insight to customer and industry needs.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships:
o Oversight of strategic future direction
o Collaborate on growth initiatives
o Develop relationships with key supplier personnel
• Other duties as assigned
Nelson-Jameson Offers:

Required Education and Experience:
• High school degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
• 2+ years experience in distribution or related business.
• Knowledge of industry products.
• Leadership experience.
