Your role at Baxter
This individual is the key administrator of the New Product Development department at our facility in Batesville, IN. They will be responsible for carrying out the day-to-day tasks and duties to manage the office and assisting R&D engineers, R&D Managers, R&D Directors and/or R&D Sr Directors as needed.
This role provides direct support to the Sr. Director – Engineering (R&D). Assists in all matters pertaining to activities, events, administration, department communication and office management.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs) in Batesville, IN.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible and held accountable for various administrative tasks to support Sr Director of Engineering including calendar management and executing R&D activities.
- Coordinates events, meetings, and activities including (but not limited to) employee engagement events, video & teleconferences, Lunch & Learn sessions, monthly celebrations, and community service events.
- Produces and analyzes standard and specific reports for business continuity and decision-making purposes (i.e., budget, expense, purchase orders, presentations)
- Conducts compliance activities such as engineering bed inventory control, lead team in 6S, act as representative in audits. Update and help enforce office policies.
- Manage the Office with tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining office equipment, and working with maintenance on building repairs.
- Participates in cross-training and learning activities to be able to provide support and coverage for other R&D Department Specialists
- Assist with other related projects as needed
What you’ll bring
- 3+ years in a related field preferred (administrative, office management, customer facing).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- High proficiency with Intranet and Internet and proven understanding of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to work with multiple levels of the organization with a professional demeanor and comfortable working with a variety of professional styles.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects/workflow and handle time efficiently to meet established timelines.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction from manager and/or supervisor.
- Independently identify and recommend solutions/process improvements.
- Manage time independently within assigned responsibilities.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to leverage resources, methodologies, and tools to accomplish objectives.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with DOORS, JDE and Agile or similar technology tools are a plus.
We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a base salary range of $36,000 to $90,000. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
