Basic Function and Distinguishing Characteristics

Under the direction of the Director of Public Works, plan, organize and direct the construction, reconstruction and maintenance of County roads, bridges and solid waste disposal sites; schedule, assign, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by course work in business, engineering or drafting and six years increasingly responsible experience in the construction, repair and maintenance of roads, bridges and solid waste sited including at least two years in a supervisory capacity.

Valid California driver’s license.
