Arcadis is seeking a creative, results-oriented communications professional with proven experience managing large-scale projects or initiatives. You will primarily serve as the deputy program manager for one of Arcadis’ premier client programs in Atlanta. As such, you will need to live in or be willing to relocate to the Atlanta region. This position is a hybrid of in-office and at-home remote work. The deputy program manager position reports directly to the lead program manager for the client, with a dotted line to the senior communications manager for Arcadis’ Atlanta office.

Role description:
Core duties include, but are not limited to, co-managing the project team and liaising with the client; coordinating and/or conducting meetings; reviewing and ensuring on-time delivery of work and activities; and delegating tasks as necessary. In addition to project management experience, you must have a strong background in communications and/or public relations, specifically experience in developing relationships with news media outlets, pitching stories to reporters, coordinating media interviews, and monitoring and delivering measurable results of PR efforts. Experience in transportation demand management (TDM) is a plus.
This position is perfect for someone who is passionate about sustainability, thinks both strategically and tactically, works well both independently and as part of a team, and who enjoys interacting with both clients and the public alike. Your strong organization, time management, ability to multitask, and writing and editing skills will be key factors to your success. Also critical to this position is your ability to demonstrate ambition in conceptualizing and executing innovative ideas and process improvements on behalf of the client.
Role accountabilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day activities and deliverables of the project team, including subs
- Work with the primary project scheduler to monitor budget, scope, and schedule
- Assist with organizing and maintaining document repositories
- Fill in for the lead program manager in her absence
- Cultivate relationships with and pitch stories to news media outlets; manage PR pitch schedule
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of project management and communications experience
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field
- Experience in transportation demand management (TDM)

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer seven paid holidays and potentially up to two floating holidays per calendar year depending on start date, and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $82400 – $123600.
