The Role: Derivatives Valuation Analyst
The Team: Portfolio Valuations
S&P Global’s Portfolio Valuations team is an independent post-trade valuation service that uses consensus data and proprietary pricing models to provide fair values for OTC derivatives and a range of liquid and illiquid securities. The service is designated to fulfill policy requirements of investors, regulators, and business managers for independent calculation of Net Asset Value, sensitivities, and risk measures. The team services over 400+ direct institutional customers around the world, including banks, hedge funds, asset managers, auditors, and fund admins, thus enhancing market transparency and reducing financial risks.

The Impact:
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual with an interest in derivative pricing to be part of a team of analysts that support the daily valuation of portfolios of derivative positions.
Portfolio Valuations analysts work with clients during trials, implementation, production, and challenge processes; they also oversee various data capture and review procedures in support of the global valuation business, while working with other team members around the globe to further develop S&P’s Portfolio Valuations services.

Responsibilities:
- Organizing and running daily and monthly valuation processes for clients; this will require hands-on responsibility for some clients
- Ensuring that data capture and cleaning processes are run, refined and automated
- Handling simple and complex price challenges and resolving them to the satisfaction of the client
- Building and maintaining client relationships, so that clients are aware of Portfolio Valuations’ new and existing valuation capabilities and increase their use of these services
- Contributing to the design and testing of valuation systems and product enhancements
What We’re Looking For:
- University Degree (minimum Bachelor) in a quantitative discipline, including but not limited to financial engineering, quantitative finance, or finance
- Understanding of financial markets, knowledge of and exposure to OTC products
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills. Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, teams, and senior members of the organizations
- Team player attitude is vital for the role. This includes giving and receiving constructive feedback, as well as proactively working together as a team to meet common goals
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, VBA, and other programming languages advantageous

Compensation/Benefits Information:
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $44,200.00 to $87,825.00. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
