$51.92-$61.05/Hour

Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer
- Develop and release interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness and overall operational safety and effectiveness
- Use innovative approaches and unique applications to solve complex nonconforming conditions
- Identify, document, and analyze reported problems and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety
- Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews
- Coordinate activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair / recovery teams, safety or accident investigation boards, and aircraft maintenance recovery teams
- Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment
- Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers
- Develop and implement product / process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree combined with 2 + years of relevant work experience in an Engineering classification; or Master’s Degree with experience in an Engineering classification.
- Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance
- knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve operational issues through the aircraft’s lifecycle
- requires selected applicant to obtain cybersecurity certification that complies with AFMAN 17-1303, IAM Level 1 post start. All training materials and course fees will be covered
- 1+ years of experience with aircraft sustainment or service engineering
- Able to occasionally travel domestically, work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary
- Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of customer-facing, or equivalent, experience
- 1+ years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- Experience with C-17 aircraft
- Cybersecurity certification (i.e. DoD 8570, Security+, CISSP, etc.)
- Preference for EE or Aero Engineering degree (mechanical could work)
