As a Project manager on the Design and Construction services (DCS) team you will contribute to Starbucks success by developing the design and architectural standards used to accelerate trade area transformation, scale the reimaged 3rd place experience, and roll out guidance for programs such as Siren System. This position aids in the advancement of guidelines, prototypes, specifications, and graphic standards used to centralize project delivery and communicate change across store development. This individual will work cross-functionally to develop efficient, cost effective, and adaptive solutions to transform the brand, support our growth agenda and ensure high quality environment for partners connection.
Design and Construction Services – Project manager:
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to solve problems, scale innovation, and sustain programs that support the future growth of our Starbucks stores.
- Maintains architectural standards, design guidelines, product specifications, and visual aids used to centralize and accelerate the delivery of Starbucks stores.
- Serves as a consultant to internal business units to identify, document, and resolve architectural matters with various agencies having jurisdiction (health, fire, safety, etc.).
- Serves as a consultant to internal business units to support and facilitate resolution of architectural issues and ensures that our standards align with the future direction of store development.
- Works with procurement teams to provide solutions for (finishes, equipment, materials) which support (cost effective, maintenance free, sustainable) store delivery.
- Creates and maintains the details, prototypical drawings, design templates, and other tool used by regional store development teams for site adapt designs.
- Develops design guidelines, visual aids, and specifications required to scale programmatic initiatives.
- Provides communications and training to store development teams in support of programmatic releases, processes optimization, and continued standards development.
We’d love to hear from people with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Design
- Broad experience in Retail Store Development, 6-8 years
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally, graphically, and in writing.
- A strong understanding of architectural design, site design, space planning, building systems, consultant coordination, client management, construction best practices.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire team members.
- Skilled CAD, Revit, and Adobe Suite user.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with teammates, consultants, and vendors.
- 2+ years project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human
resources and communications.
- 3 yrs managing large-scale or multiple mid-sized projects.
- 2+ yrs building and mentoring teams.
