Summaryof Position: Sample Coordinatoris responsible for the management of all apparel samples including receiving,fitting, organizing, distributing, and tracking. Acts as a liaison betweendepartments for all sample requests and procurement from factory.
Dutiesand Responsibilities:
• Weekly PrototypeFittings (up to 3 times per week) assisting with review of samples on fit modelensuring they meet quality, fit, and construction standards
o Note taking ofdetailed explanations for proto adjustments determined during fit sessions
o Taking and uploadingof prototype pictures
o Update Salesforcerecords for prototype status
o Tracks dailyShipping reports to schedule fit models for weekly fit sessions
o Maintains fit modeltime sheets, hourly recording, and submission to accounting
• Sample WarehouseOrganization
o Maintainorganization of sample rooms across divisions; sorting and storing based onorganizational structure
o Creation andmaintaining of spreadsheets documenting internal samples
o Required to go upand down ladder and use extension hooks throughout day handling physicalsamples
o Handlesdestruction of outdated samples
• Fulfillment ofSample Requests
o Handles fulfillmentfor sample requests from all internal departments and external customers
o Maintain recordsof samples borrowed and returned
o Coordinatingsamples for Marketing photo shoots including all major look book shoots
o Works on-set asneeded during Marketing photo shoots helping as stylist to ensure accuraterepresentation of apparel designs
• Weekly Reporting
o Send weeklyPrototype Fitting reports to factory
o UpdateRemake/Rework records and tech packs for Remake Department
• Assist ProductCoordinators on an as-needed basis
o Editing appareltech packs for factory sample making
Qualifications:
• 2 or 4-Yearcollege degree preferred in fashion design or related field
• Highorganizational skills
• Strongproficiency in all industry-leading software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator,Photoshop), Excel, and other Microsoft Office apps
• Abilityto handle multiple tasks with changing priorities
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
WorkingConditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to stand, go up and down ladder, work in warehouse environment; usehands to handle or feel and talk or hear.
