THE ROLE:
Embedded in Chubb’s high-performing Global Social Media Center of Excellence (CoE), and reporting to the VP Global Head of Social Media with a dotted line to the Head of Creative Services, the Social Media Designer will strategize, conceptualize and produce social-first graphics, animations, and video content for use across the company’s external social media channels.
Staying on top of trends, this nimble and forward-thinking designer will ideate and create a variety of social assets under tight deadlines, enabling Chubb to participate meaningfully in relevant conversations in the news cycle. The Designer will accelerate Chubb’s global social media transformation by crafting social templates that can be scaled to marketing and communications teams around the world.
Additionally, the Designer will bring to life Chubb’s employer brand by developing meaningful and emotionally resonant creative assets-for Chubb’s social channels as well as our employees and recruiters-that will attract top talent to the company.
The Social Media Center of Excellence is a newly created function within Chubb’s Global Marketing, Communications and Investor Relations team. This fast-moving CoE creatively powers brand building, business growth and talent attraction for Chubb. The Social Media Designer is a high-visibility position that will operate at the nexus of Social, Creative, External Communications, Talent and Culture with room to grow in many different directions.
Ideally, this candidate will sit in our Philadelphia, PA office on a hybrid schedule. We are also open to a hybrid schedule in our Whitehouse Station, NJ/Jersey City, NJ/or New York, NY offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In partnership with the Social Media and Creative teams, conceptualize and design social-first campaigns and assets (graphics, animations, video/reels, audio) for use across LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Threads, and emerging platforms on a daily basis
- Develop a library of evergreen social assets and templates that can be re-used, scaled across the company, and periodically updated
- Support social strategists with ideation and execution of the design elements of their organic and paid campaigns
- Participate and present work in weekly Social Content Performance meetings to draw insights on the performance of social creative assets and share learnings across the team
- Contribute to the team’s 24/7 social monitoring and community management work
Qualifications
ABOUT YOU:
- 6+ years of experience working in social media-focused creative design and video editing
- Experience conceptualizing and designing on-brand, high-performing graphics, animation, and video for global social media channels; experience with a corporate brand desired; employer branding experience a plus
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – must be able to clearly communicate, build relationships, influence, and rally support among stakeholders
- Experience operating nimbly and achieving positive results within a large, matrixed organization desired, as is experience communicating across diverse cultures and geographies
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through; able to balance multiple projects and competing priorities without missing a beat
- Track record of partnering effectively with marketing and communications stakeholders to translate business objectives into visually compelling creative assets
- Comfort operating collaboratively and quickly in a fast-moving environment; committed to thoughtfully giving and receiving feedback
- Experience adhering to brand guidelines while advocating for social innovation
- Self-motivated, driven to make an impact, tenacious, comfortable with ambiguity, results-focused, collaborative, respectful, solution-oriented
- Specific platform expertise with LinkedIn highly desired, along with knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, Threads, YouTube, emerging platforms as well as norms around talent branding, employee advocacy and influencer marketing
- High degree of proficiency with Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
- BA/BS or BFA degree in art, design, video communications, or related discipline; additional education welcome
The pay range for the role is $80,500 to $137,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
