Designer (Private Label)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and develop creative packaging designs that stand out on the shelves and represent our clients’ brands’ aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quality control, and creative leadership, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Proofread and approve artwork with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure all packaging meets brands’ high standards.
  • Lead and direct food photography photo shoots, working closely with photographers, food stylists, and other team members to ensure high-quality and visually appealing imagery that accurately represents our brand and products.
  • Confidently present designs to both internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise explanations of design decisions and recommendations.
  • Adapt to changing project requirements and timelines, and pivot as needed to ensure projects stay on track.
  • Stay current on packaging design trends and technologies to ensure our brand’s private label products remain relevant and competitive in the marketplace.

Education and Experience:

  • 3 – 5 years in packaging design, specifically with brand packaging and/or identity design.
  • Solid understanding of Private Label packaging design.
  • Art directing food photography experience a HUGE bonus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and other current design software in a Mac OS X environment.
  • BFA (or equivalent) in design, preferred.
