Too Faced is looking for an exceptionally creative Designer who will play an integral part of bringing the brand to life through instore visual merchandizing graphics and environmental signage.
This position requires a person who is knowledgeable in the relevant field in order to thoroughly and efficiently complete projects and meet deadlines. This includes, but is not limited to: working with die-lines; setting files up for print production; image resolution standards, working with large format printers, etc. They must possess a strong print creative aesthetic with a great eye for layout and typography. This person will work collaboratively with the Art Director, Visual Merchandising and Design Director. We are looking for someone who has already gained some industry experience and is looking to grow further within print and visual merchandizing design. A person with a passion for makeup highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop seasonal campaigns to promote the company’s key product launches.
- Create and deliver strong design solutions that articulate seasonal campaigns and product launches cohesively across various branded materials including but not limited to fixture graphics, end caps, cash wraps, window designs, and store take overs for our domestic and international markets.
- Maintain and elevate brand aesthetic across all touchpoints, including both domestic and international markets.
- Prepare, package and spec files for print, working closely with external production vendors (i.e., proofing, color-matching, and approving for print)
- Ensure that all creative produced meets all brief requirements, this includes but is not limited to correct dimensions, assortments, die-lines, image resolution and any creative direction from design manager.
- Take creative direction and feedback on all projects and execute as directed.
- May work on other design graphics, beyond visual merchandizing, as required.
- Collaborate with other designers, copy writers and packaging designers on designs.
- Deliver creative that is accurate and on-time.
The designer may require daily assistance with the project as well as time management of their daily tasks. They will still be responsible for:
- Be punctual and set an example to other members – attendance, project completion, etc.
- Working in line with company and department procedures.
- Keeping their working environment organized, including the work server and assets.
- Keeping a positive, team-oriented, work environment.
- Making sure all their projects that are turned in for review meet all brief requirements, this includes, but is not limited to correct dimensions, file formats, image resolution, content.
- Work in line with company and department standards, following management requests as needed.
Communication
The designer will be expected to:
- Maintain open communication with their manager and other team members.
- Ensure that project status is communicated to stakeholders regularly to alert of any risks/issues/concerns to project manager in order to ensure effective project management.
- Contribute to team meetings and brainstorm sessions.
- Work with manager to come up with cross functional departments to strategize solutions for successful project completion.
- Work collaboratively with other (immediate) team members.
- Ask questions that showcase their desire to grow.
- Present their own creative to senior staff clearly and concisely.
- Take constructive criticism well and executes feedback successfully.
Qualifications:
Desired Skills and Requirements
- BA or B.F.A. in Graphic Design.
- 3+ years Graphic Design experience within an in-house, design or agency setting mandatory. Experience in the beauty/fashion industry preferred.
- Expertise in pre-press and print production preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Creative Cloud InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop mandatory.
- 3D imaging software knowledge (Sketchup) a plus.
- Must be a self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Image manipulation/retouch and color correction skills a plus.
- Creative, collaborative team player, and able to contribute ideas in group settings.
- Exemplary organizational skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work multiple projects simultaneously and meet due dates in timely manner.
- A team player who is able to work cross functionally with multiple touchpoints.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65,500 to $98,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
