The Role: Desktop Business Development Intern

The Team: The Desktop Business Development group who is responsible for defining client and go-to-market strategy and implementation of tactics to retain existing client base and grow through new sales.

Responsibilities: The summer internship will involve day to day support focused on client analytics with an aim to provide an overall view of desktop client behavior that will be used to inform desktop strategy for retention and new business.
Through the projects you will be assigned, you will develop a foundational understanding of the Desktop market, including the Market Intelligence Desktop customer satisfaction and client usage through various channels that the existing Desktop Strategy & Client Insights team’s partnership with Customer Experience, Customer Success, Clients, Account Teams engagement and defining programs to address gaps. You will help us to explore critical questions such as:

  • Which users are driving growth?
  • What desktop capabilities are correlated with high retention rates?
  • Where do we lose desktop users, and why?

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or similar field completed no later than May 2024
  • Basic understanding of Financial Markets and business processes
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good writing skills/financial analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with MS Power apps helpful (e.g. Power BI, Automate, etc)
  • This role is limited to person with indefinite right to work in the United States

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 5

The Location: New York, NY. Hybrid Internship

Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates):
S&P Global states that the anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $21 to $30. Final salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.
