Great opportunity to join this dynamic team and progress your IT skills. The Desktop Technician I will support and maintain organizational A/V systems, printers, and peripherals to meet business goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provides first level technical support to internal customers.
- Installs, diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and upgrades all organizational hardware and equipment while ensuring optimal performance.
- Provides technical support related to conference room A/V equipment and copiers.
- Builds rapport and elicits problem details from customers.
- Performs physical setup in meeting rooms.
- Installs new hardware components and works with vendors to maintain equipment and systems.
- Tests software and hardware compatibility to determine criticality of component loss.
- Interacts with all appropriate departments within IT to restore service and/or identify problems and ensure efficient operation of the environment.
- Provides on-site and remote A/V and printer support to customers in a variety of settings.
Documents desktop related processes and procedures.
- Maintains appropriate service level agreement (SLA) on tickets in Service Now.
- Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems.
- Documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure a timely resolution.
- Performs desktop imaging, setup, patching, and upgrades.
- Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as A/V Technician required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Valid Driver’s License required from local state authority.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of displays, audio and hardware.
- Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting audio, video and phone systems.
- Ability to identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Strong customer service orientation and skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to apply principles of logic to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
The salary range listed for this position, $25.53 to $40.26 hourly, is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. If hired at ICW Group, your final base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as skills, experience and/or education. In addition, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. We typically do not hire towards the maximum of the range in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a substantial benefits package outlined below.
