Position Overview

Seeking an individual to develop programs and system specifications for various complex systems in the Client Systems, including systems flow charts, audit trails, control procedures and coordinates testing and implementation of these outputs utilizing IMS/TELON on-line and batch processing, IBM Mainframe/MVS processing, DB2, COBOL, IMS, VSAM, CICS, JCL and Easytrieve. Individual will also evaluate test results to ensure conformance with program objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develops programs and systems specifications for various complex systems in the Client Systems, including systems flow charts, audit trails, control procedures and coordinates testing and implementation of these outputs utilizing IMS / TELON on-line and batch processing, IBM Mainframe / MVS processing, DB2, COBOL, IMS, VSAM, CICS, JCL and Easytrieve. Evaluates test results to ensure conformance with programs objectives.
  2. Provides system maintenance / enhancement.
  3. Reviews user requests, determine requirements, coordinates program changes and reviews results.
  4. Requires close coordination with Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) / Department of Human Services (DHS) Technical Services and necessary steps to resolve problems which impact the performance of the systems that support Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT), Temporary Assistant for Needy Families(TANF) and other DHS Programs.
  5. Evaluates test results to ensure conformance with programs objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Requires knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course working in computer science or directly related fields.
  2. Requires three (3) years of professional experience in a related information Technology field.
  3. Requires three (3) years of professional experience in a computer-based management information system.
  4. Requires three (3) years of experience working with and knowledge of IBM Mainframe / MVS processing, DB2, COBOL, IMS, VSAM, CICS, JCL and Easytrieve, TELON, BTS / Xpediter and Crystal Reporting.

Work Hours: Mon – Fri, 8:30am – 5:00pm
