Development and Donor Relations Coordinator (Remote)

Our Development and Donor Relations Coordinator will be a key role on a dynamic development and organization team to manage donor and prospect portfolios, support donor relations activities, plan and execute special events, manage gift processing and acknowledgements, plus other rewarding projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support donor-event planning and manage implementation of 3-4 events/year across the country.
  • Manage donor and prospect data and portfolios on both spreadsheets and in IMBA’s CRM, civi.
  • Manage gift processing and acknowledgement activities.
  • Support donor contact strategies and communication activities.
  • Coordinate proposal documents and supporting materials.
  • Support development of reports to funders.
  • Support direct marketing fundraising campaigns in collaboration with other departments.
  • Support prospect and foundation research.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management, including some front-line donor relations and cultivation activities and experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent
  • Four to six years development related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of mountain biking and/or trail development is preferred.
  • Experience planning and implementing events for 20-50 people that includes very active and sometimes complex itineraries, schedules and logistics.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, compelling communications to donors as well as edit copy for clarity and grammatical accuracy. Experience developing donor appeals, reports and proposals is a plus.

  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a wide range of simultaneous initiatives with enthusiasm. Proven ability to handle multiple projects, e.g. 5-7 at a time, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • This role will require occasional travel

Annual salary range for this role is approximately $52,000 based on direct experience.
