We are currently seeking an experienced Development Mechanical Engineer – Test Equipment to join our dynamic team and contribute to our growing success. This position is responsible for development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical, mechanical and electropneumatic components and systems that will become the new products of Moog, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop test equipment and systems for aerospace components, including mechanical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and testing teams to establish test requirements and specifications.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and risk assessments to optimize test equipment design and performance.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, assembly, and test operations, ensuring the safe and efficient use of test equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action on test equipment and systems as needed.
- Participate in design reviews, providing expert input on test equipment design and functionality.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to procure materials, services, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Continuously improve test equipment design, performance, and reliability through analysis, innovation, and best practices.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related Engineering field
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the design and development of test equipment and systems, preferably in the aerospace industry
The base pay range for this opportunity is $66,955 – $123,635 per year.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog’s total compensation package for employees.
