Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a DevOps/System Administrator with critical thinking and effective communication skills to perform systems and software engineering functions for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) system development projects. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the development of mission-critical, real-time military software applications and/or interfaces across all phases of the system development lifecycle using an Agile development process and working alongside engineers from the entire system development community.
What you will be doing:
- Operating and maintaining Windows-based stand-alone domains with associated workstations
- Day-to-day server and network operations: installing, configuring, upgrading software, troubleshooting and resolving network/computer/peripheral issues
- Responsible for maintaining inventory of hardware and software
- Managing software work products in the Configuration Management (CM) system
- Manage automated software build systems
- Communicating daily with project stakeholders (software developers, testers, etc.) regarding status of various system configurations
- Completing security and Information Assurance (IA) training as required, achieving a minimum of 40 hrs/yr of continuing education per DoD IA workforce improvement program
- Managing and resolving system vulnerabilities by performing vulnerability scans, analyzing results, and implementing system remediation
- Perform Static Code Analysis (SCA) on software code base and work collaboratively with software developers to remedy any code that was constructed that reflects a weak security posture or deviates from secure coding best practices

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, eligible for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET Security Clearance*
- 5 years’ of related technical experience
- Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II Certification as Defined in DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
- Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance*
- Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical field
- Experience with Windows 10 (or higher) Operating Systems
- General knowledge of Windows Server 2012 R2 (or higher)
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of SQL server
- General knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Experience with the use of scripting languages/tools to automate information system administration and security functions (Shell Script, PowerShell, Python, etc.)
- Experience with computer hardware
- Experience with computer programming
- Experience using SCA tools
*Obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance involves a comprehensive background check.
