- $49,629.72 – $63,615.36 annually (SEIU Salary Schedule, Range 5)
- 260 Days, 8 hours per day

General Description
Under the general supervision and direction by the site custodial supervisor, performs a wide variety of custodial tasks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs daily cleaning safety check, which includes the following: Sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes linoleum, tiles, concrete and wood floors; vacuums, spots and shampoos rugs and carpets; washes and dusts windows, railings, walls, furniture, tables, benches, woodwork, hall lockers, and other equipment; erases and cleans whiteboard; vacuums whiteboard trays and erasers; picks up papers and refuse in buildings and on grounds; sweeps walks, entrances and adjacent blacktops; washes and disinfects restrooms and shower rooms; cleans and polishes metal work such as doors and hand railings; empties and cleans pencil sharpeners and waste containers.
- Receives goods and picks up supplies; replenishes supplies in offices, workrooms and restrooms; lights locks and unlocks doors and gates; assists in moving and re-arranging desks and chairs, tables, furniture, and other equipment.
- May make minor repairs and installations; help replace exterior, interior and gym lights, and move and set up bleachers.
- Cleans roofs, gutters and drains.
- May perform routine grounds keeping duties including sweeping black top with hand and power sweeper.
- Report damaged buildings, broken equipment, safety and fire hazards.
- Takes turn setting up for special events.
- Assist with emergency response
- Assists in thorough cleaning and restoration of school facilities during vacation periods.
- Be able to shut off water and gas
- Complete incident reports as required
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Day Crew Responsibilities:
- Opens the school in the morning, to include disarming alarms and opening school gates.
- In the morning, inspects areas for abnormalities, graffiti and unsafe conditions prior to students and other personnel arrival.
- Check swimming pools, temperature, test water and fill out pool log.
- Sweep or blow pool deck twice a week.
- Put up flags.
Night Crew Responsibilities:
- Operates night lights.
- Checks doors and windows for security.
- Secures the school to include setting alarms.
- Prior to leaving, inspects areas for abnormalities, graffiti and unsafe conditions prior to students and other personnel arrival.
- Prepare classrooms for the next school day.
- Support after school activities.
- Take down flags and store properly.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- One year of full-time experience in custodial or related work, preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and material and common safety practices.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions; understand and follow a job schedule.
- Ability to drive golf carts safely.
Physical Effort and Work Environment
Heavy physical labor.
