Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a Digital Architect as a member of our team. The role is encouraged to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to provide leadership methodologies to improve our services and technologies.

Hybrid position. Location: Dallas, TX. El Segundo, CA. Phoenix, AZ.
Roles/ Responsibilities:
• Work with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs.
• Defines technical target state of product and drives achievement of strategy.
• Participates in architecture governance.
• Evaluates, recommends, and provides feedback on new technologies.
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Works with clients to understand business case for adopting cloud native approach to developing software.
• Provides guidance on continuous integration and test-driven development practices.
• Develops API strategy for the overall application.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related area with 8-10 years developing and/or architecting large complex systems.
• Strong engineering background with proven track record of delivering regulated, scaled, resilient solutions in multi-cloud environment.
• 1-3 years of experience as Architect
• Deep technical understanding across public cloud (AWS/Azure)
• Proficiency in following languages: Java, JavaScript
• Experience in domain driven design (DDD), lean architecture and agile delivery
• Experience with Spring Boot and Rest Framework for developing Microservices.
• Strong understanding of required patterns (Microservices design: bounded context, event driven and operational isolation; 12 factor apps and principles; API design, management, and implementation.
• Expertise on CI/CD, containerization, and event-driven architecture
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CCPA, PII)
• Data, data modeling and database management- Knowledge of various database technologies and use-cases (e.g., Relational, NoSQL, Graph, Caching Options, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Able to work well across teams.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $104,620 – 176,710 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
