THE ROLE:

Do you have a passion for storytelling and a knack for driving engagement with readers across owned and social media? Do you thrive at uncovering great stories and telling them through multiple channels? Then this role will ignite your passion as you drive the story of Xylem and our customers through owned web editorial, social media, video, press releases and more.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for content creation, storytelling, and digital media. They are organized – consistently meeting deadlines and readership metrics – but also flexible to shift based on emerging news and priorities. And they are technologically adept, proficient with tools such as WordPress and Canva and eager to apply new AI tools to improve communications processes and outcomes. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Lead editorial calendar and content creation for articles on Xylem’s Making Waves
  • Lead promotion of owned content across Paid Search, organic and paid social and employee audiences
  • Drive readership and engagement metrics for owned platforms – continuously improving content and promotion methods to increase awareness
  • Collaborate across communications team and global business to uncover and tell Xylem’s greatest stories

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree – ideally in journalism, public relations or media studies
  • 5+ years of experience in a communications agency, corporate communications, journalism or content creation function
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Adept at learning/implementing new tools to improve communications process and outcomes – such as WordPress, ChatGPT, Canva, Hootsuite, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills; strategic thinker with project management and execution skills

SALARY:

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 to $95,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
