Job Summary
Participates in the development and management of engaging and informing both the general public and County employees about initiatives and information that are vital to the success of Oakland County. Independently manages multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Works in collaboration with the County Executive, Department of Public Communications, and other county departmental staff to strengthen the Oakland County brand, promoting a progressive and inclusive county with a reputation for adopting best practices in government. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.
Provides end user support for and administration of several social media environments including social media site set up, security, roles, and permissions. Works with departments and maintains the County’s social media standards, policies, procedures, and brand standards.
Posts on social media accounts, including the development, creation and editing of content.
Tracks and updates usage statistics and metrics.
Minimum Qualifications

1. a. Possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.
b. Have had at least two (2) years of full-time professional work experience in digital marketing or a closely related area; OR
2. a. Possess an Associate’s degree or equivalent education from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration or related field.
b. Have had at least four (4) years of full-time professional work experience in digital marketing or a closely related area.
