Description

Under the direction of Marketing Director and Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will assist in organizing and implement digital marketing, business development, and communication initiatives for the museum. while working closely with, and as an integral part of the Design and Development teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to support all marketing campaigns for the museum.
  • Assist in the deployment of programs and events hosted/sponsored by the museum, such as exhibit openings, cruise-ins, movie nights, seminars, and other events, including the development and production of marketing materials and on-site logistics.
  • Manage the execution of production schedule for all marketing campaigns, including but not limited to paid advertising, events, exhibits, in-kind advertising, website updates, video scheduling, and partnership deliverables.
  • Assist in content execution of the Petersen Museum website, which includes: Event pages, landing pages, galleries, blogs and more.
  • Responsible for executing weekly newsletter and spotlight emails with the creative assistance of the design team.
  • Own the scheduling and execution of content for all Museum social media channels, including: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter/Threads, Youtube, and more.
  • Assist in the creative direction and design of daily social media content for all channels.
  • Engage on a daily basis with our social media community via comments, reviews and likes.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of monthly museum events including check-in, tours, photography, hospitality, and organization of event information
  • Report to Digital Marketing Manager on a weekly basis of all Social Media analytics
  • Work with design team to streamline production of marketing materials for marketing campaigns and sponsorships.
  • Assist in the submission of design requests.
  • Assist in distributing marketing materials, emails, press releases, event collateral and partner updates, as needed.
  • Ensure marketing initiatives are communicated thoroughly to all departments.
  • Provide excellent client service to external museum partners.
  • Input data into relevant databases (timeline, trello, google drive) and ensure information is stored/saved correctly.
  • Must exercise a high level of discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Work on other projects as assigned by the Marketing Director or Marketing Manager
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of Automotive industry required.
  • Photography skills is a plus

Education and Experience:

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:

  • Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Design or related field

Minimum Experience required:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Marketing or Social media position
