Job Summary

Lead, manage and direct a team of professionals responsible for Service Company financial performance management

Job Responsibilities
• Lead a team of financial professionals / oversee end-to-end Service Company financial management processes including long-term planning, annual budgeting, and monthly reporting, analysis and forecasting.
• Support SC SET members and SC leadership with all aspects of ongoing financial support and address emergent questions and issues.
• Lead and facilitate efforts around cost management and balancing “top-down” targets with “bottoms-up requirements.
• Engage across finance organization on enterprise-wide efforts and issues
• Oversee maintenance of PSEG cost accounting philosophies and practices via the PSEG Cost Accounting Manual. Serve as SME for internal and external stakeholders (e.g. internal and external auditors, BPU, LIPA). Oversee monthly intercompany invoicing process.
• Provide governance over enterprise-wide scorecards including measure definition, target setting and alignment across operation companies. Oversee monthly reporting and engagement with management. Partner with HR on linkages between scorecard and PSEG Compensation Programs.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, business or related field
  • 5-10 years demonstrated experience in detailed financial planning, management reporting and analysis, cost accounting and/or auditing
  • 5-10 years experience in management role in financial management, consulting or shared services operations
  • Strong business acumen, critical thinking and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Deep knowledge of financial management processes
  • Experience in shared service organizations
  • Experience in the design and deployment of Performance Management processes and tools
  • Demonstrated understanding of SAP Controling Module (CO)
  • Experience in design, development and implementation of financial systems
  • CPA, CMA, MBA, or other advanced degree
  • Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate across organizations, levels and functions
  • Comfortable with multiple accountabilities and managing several projects simultaneously
  • Significant knowledge in areas of support responsibility including IT, Supply, HR, and financial services within a shared services model
  • Demonstrated change management experience including ability to effectively communicate the need for change, obtain input and buy-in, resolve stakeholder concerns, and effectively implement change
  • Significant experience in leading and managing transformation projects, including recommending and implementing improvements to systems, policies and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in business process innovation methodologies and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams, engage across all functions and levels and excellent communication and relational skills
