Job Title: Director, Application Developer

Location: Dallas, TX

Offered Wage: $195,000/year

Duties: Implements large-scale projects in the Investment Data Warehouse domain with a focus on data delivery and reporting. Gathers and analyzes system requirements and designs migration methods to shift existing datasets to new data warehousing platforms. Coordinates with the Data Science team to identify future needs and craft requirements to move business forward. Troubleshoots performance issues in data extracts and reporting tools. Evaluates and ensures the required application production support is sufficiently staffed and trained for data delivery and reporting aspects of the data warehouse platform. Triages data issues and evaluates root cause identified by the Production Support team. Participates in and influences data governance and drives “best practices” and data consistency.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 3 years of experience as a Data Warehousing Specialist or working with mutual funds and fixed income dataset processing with expertise in Python, ETL tools, and PL/SQL processes

OR, in the alternative:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and 5 years of experience as a Data Warehousing Specialist or working with mutual funds and fixed income dataset processing with expertise in Python, ETL tools, and PL/SQL processes

Required Skills:

Experience must include 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:

(1) Building and supporting data warehouses, data lakes or Big Data platforms leveraging Python, Informatica, Datastage, and Informatica Cloud (IICS) development languages and performing service-oriented architecture and object-oriented-programming to build client platforms;

(2) Performing full stack application development leveraging database modeling and database management systems (DBMS) principles to write advanced Oracle PL/SQL code and experience with Oracle, MS SQL relational databases or data stores, APIs, performing Quality Assurance, and security aspects of application development;

(3) Building operational batch processes leveraging advanced Unix and Linux scripting and scheduling tools; and,

(4) Building institutional client reports, and mutual funds and exchange traded funds (ETF) reports for clients leveraging BusinessObjects, Tableau or Qlik reporting packages.
