The Fitch Solutions M&A and business development team is currently seeking an Associate Director, Business Development, M&A based out of our New York office.
As Fitch Solutions looks to achieve its objectives for growth and profitability, the company is looking to add to its inhouse M&A and business development team. This team identifies potential opportunities for the various Fitch Solutions businesses and works with management and the leaders of such businesses to negotiate, close and integrate these opportunities.
This is a small team and the role is very “hands on” – the executive will be required to do everything from target and sector research to preparing presentations to leading transactions.

We’ll Count on You To:
- Report to the Head of M&A and Business Development
- Assist with all business development and acquisition activity for the Company, including strategic relationships and partnerships
- Help develop industry mapping and targeting for the various Company businesses and maintain resources identifying opportunities, targets, markets, and competitors.
- Prepare acquisition and partnership analyses of opportunities for evaluation and internal approval purposes
- Assist in structuring, diligence, negotiation, and closing transactions.
- Represent Fitch Solutions in the marketplace with advisers, targets and potential partners, and with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with integration strategies and execution.
What You Need to Have:
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functions and businesses within Fitch Solutions
- Highly organized, detail oriented, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and with deadlines
- Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelors degree
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Familiarity with FinTech, and capital markets a plus
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Quantitative financial, modeling, and problem-solving skills

FOR NEW YORK ROLES ONLY: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $130,000 and $160,000 per year. Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch’s total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
