We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join our organization as the Director of Change Enablement and Configuration Management. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving effectiveness of the change enablement and configuration management functions across the enterprise. Your expertise in change and configuration management mythologies and best practices will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transitions, minimizing disruptions, and optimizing the reliability of our systems and infrastructure increasing service availability.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
1. Change Management Leadership:
– Develop and implement a comprehensive change enablement strategy that aligns with organizational goals and business objectives.
– Lead and mentor a team of change leaders and specialists, empowering them to support IT teams and stakeholders through change initiatives effectively.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams and leaders to assess the impact of changes and develop plans that consider potential risks and have proper mitigations.
– Monitor and measure the success of change initiatives, driving continuous improvement in change enablement processes adopting industry best practices to meet compliance needs maintaining stability and quality while also providing efficient processes.
2. Configuration Management Leadership:
– Establish and enforce robust configuration management processes and standards, ensuring accurate documentation and control of all configuration items.
– Implement industry best practices for managing configuration baselines, version control, and audits to maintain the integrity of our systems and infrastructure.
– Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to ensure configuration management aligns with business requirements and supports service delivery excellence.
– Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains within configuration management practices.
3. Process Improvement:
– Promote core principles and best practices in change and configuration management, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
– Champion process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of change and configuration management activities.
– Drive the adoption of IT service management frameworks and methodologies across the organization.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
– Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including IT leaders, project managers, and executive management.
– Serve as a trusted advisor to project sponsors and senior management, providing insights on change and configuration management aspects of strategic projects.
– Communicate with stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and support for change initiatives and configuration management processes.
5. Compliance and Security:
– Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards related to change and configuration management.
– Collaborate with the security and compliance teams to integrate security best practices into change and configuration management processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
– Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in change management, configuration management, or IT service management.
– Strong knowledge of change management methodologies, ITIL frameworks, and configuration management principles.
– Proven experience in leading and managing a team, driving performance, fostering collaboration, and mentoring professionals.
– Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
– Proven experience in leading change initiatives, driving process improvement, and implementing configuration management best practices.
– Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and industry best practices in change and configuration management.
– Experience in implementing and managing change and configuration management tools and systems.
– Proven ability to navigate complex organizational structures and build effective cross-functional relationships.
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL Expert, PMP) are a plus.

Work-At-Home Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
- At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
- Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
- Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
- Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
- Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$153,500 – $211,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
