Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
The Director, Business Performance Analytics will be responsible for improving the collection and analysis of data from multiple sources, leveraging a deep understanding of data modelling, data analysis, and data visualizations, to support the advancement of our Cybersecurity & Resiliency analytics capability. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in data analytics, data mining, and data strategy. This position will provide support for the design, build, and implementation of a cybersecurity data foundation; bridge the divide between technical and business teams through data; and provide consultation and analytics support on multiple cyber security and business resiliency analytics initiatives of varying duration, size, and complexity.
What Will You Do?
- Perform analysis of data sources to determine value and use and recommend data to include in analytical processes. Identify trends and find patterns in unstructured and semi-structured data that can be utilized to create additional alerting or provide insight into areas of concern.
- Prepare and leverage data to enable business analytics across multiple initiatives. Cleanse and transform data for scoring algorithms and automated processes. Partner with IT for deployments.
- Interface with technical and non-technical teams to identify, define, and document data needs and requirements to enable analytic capability development.
- Influence design and development of data solutions in support of analytic modeling and business discovery.
- Incorporate core data management competencies including data lineage, data governance, data security and data quality.
- Perform and/or direct the completion of reasonability and validation tests.
- Apply descriptive analytics using tools such as QlikSense or MicroStrategy to analyze data, monitor business strategies, validate assumptions, understand results and effectively communicate results to a broader audience.
- Accountable for business analytics support across multiple initiatives
- Proactively coordinate with cross functional teams on varying business and technical initiatives.
- Build strategic business partnerships with IT, Supplier, Resiliency, Analytics, Actuarial, Operations, Finance, Data Management, and business areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, finance, computer science, statistics, MIS or equivalent experience preferred.
- Typically has 5 or more years of experience in Descriptive Analytics or related field.
- 4+ years working successfully with Microsoft office products and software/programming applications specific to business supported.
- Thorough knowledge of tools such as SAS, R, SQL preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Descriptive Analytic practices and processes. General knowledge of insurance products/concepts preferred.
- One or more years of technical team project leadership or people management experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the main features of the collection of data and the relationship of data elements to each other.
- General understanding of the business functions, processes, and overall business strategies of businesses supported.

What is a Must Have?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and 4 years analytics experience required.
