This director and team leader plays a strategic role enhancing the partner (employee) experience by creating innovative internal and external communications that help drive culture, belief systems and engagement. This work – your analysis of the environment and the stories you will find and bring to life – will help connect every retail and non-retail support (non-store) partner to their Starbucks Experience.

This role works across functions to align on consistency in messaging and impact, with success measured, in part, through the effectiveness of communications efforts, including to the company’s reputation as well as morale among internal store and Starbucks Support Center partners.

As a director, you will…
• Create and drive digital communications strategies that map channel and content development to stories that share the Starbucks mission and values.
• Develop a center of digital communications excellence with processes to match and analytics that clearly demonstrate impact.
• Cultivate and grow engaged partner audiences on digital channels on a global scale.

We’d love to hear from people with:
• Corporate communications leadership, preferably at a multi-unit retailer and/or an agency (10+ years)
• Developing, leading and managing teams (5+ years)
• Demonstrated ability to apply general business knowledge and experience in a complex, fast-paced global environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and lead execution of effective communication programs (internal and external) across the enterprise.
• Effective budget management
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management and all levels of the organization.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, agencies and partners across the organization.
• Ability to work in a team and influence others.
