Job Description
The Director of Digital Marketing & Communications position serves the department’s email marketing and communication strategy to provide timely, relevant and engaging content to Mizzou fans. This includes the creation of comprehensive marketing, social media, advertising, and sales plans. This position reports to the Associate AD of Marketing & Fan Engagement.
Job Description
- Lead the department’s email communication strategy to provide timely, relevant and engaging content to Mizzou fans
- Build and optimize segmented email campaigns to deliver information to ticketholders, donors and students
- Manage the placement of social, digital and traditional advertising campaigns to build the Mizzou brand and generate revenue
- Cultivate relationships with trade partners to secure and manage advertising inventory with traditional media outlets
- Pull, distribute and analyze regular digital marketing reports to identify opportunities to optimize the effectiveness of all messaging campaigns
- Create and distribute post-game and post-season surveys to collect fan feedback; analyze and disseminate survey results internally.
- Update select marketing and ticket sales related content on MUTigers.com
- Develop content and communication strategy for the Mizzou Tigers mobile app to drive downloads, deliver relevant information, and enhance the gameday experience
- Conduct lead generation initiatives to support business development campaigns
- Collaborate with Strategic Communications, Creative Services, Mizzou Sports Properties, Ticket Sales, Ticket Operations and Tiger Scholarship Fund to ensure alignment of communication with all external units of the athletic department
- Lead staff of student interns to further expand the department’s digital marketing and branding efforts
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary
Salary Range: $56,864.00 – $80,881.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
GGS Grade: 011

Shift
8:00-5:00 Monday-Friday, evenings and weekends as required by sporting events
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Sport Administration, communications or a related field
- Experience working with Sidearm
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Email Marketing Experience
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
