Director, Events

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director, Events, reporting to the Director of Strategy with a dotted line to the CCO, will oversee the planning and execution of Communications-led events for Trinity Wall Street, and will collaborate with Ministry and Operations staff to manage the marketing of all Music events. You will plan and coordinate with internal teams to create best-in-class consumer facing events, including talks and panels.

The annual salary range for this position is $129,500 to $156,000.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage all aspects of Communications-lead events and act as onsite manager to ensure events are a success.
  • Partner with Ministry teams on all music events, managing all aspects of marketing and coordinating with the PR Consultant to drive awareness and audience.
  • Provide event recaps with post event analysis and attendance reports.
  • Develop and administer a thought-leadership driven events program to connect, inform and serve the Trinity Wall Street community and to supplement our already robust music program.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key contributors (ministry, video/audio and venue facilities)
  • Coordinate with internal partners and external vendors to establish the requirements for an event, and serve as liaison to internal partners throughout the process.
  • Assist internal partners with their event planning, including brainstorming and RSVP management, and collaborating with Facilities and Ministry to facilitate logistics for all events, including contract negotiations, guest lists, venue preparation, presentation materials, security, catering, entertainment, transportation, equipment, decor, and marketing materials.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive database of industry contacts, vendors, and venues.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise on event day.
  • Collaborate with the Communication’s department Marketing & Digital team to build and maintain events lists.
  • Adhere to confidentiality rules and all other Trinity policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Perform all duties in a manner that promotes Trinity’s mission, vision, and core values.
  • Assume other related responsibilities and special projects as required.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ACTIVITIES

  • 10+ years of experience in event management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining positive business relationships
  • Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly

REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in event management or related discipline
  • Proficient with EMS or Cvent event management software
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
