The Director of Global Security and Business Resiliency is responsible for leading the physical security, insider threat, business continuity, and crisis management functions for Lucid Motors. The position will advise the Head of Facilities, Security, and EHS, on enterprise security risks and ensures that appropriate measures are in place to continuously assess, mitigate, and monitor security risks to Lucid. This position will manage a team of direct, matrixed, and contract personnel, and will be the primary liaison for federal, state, and local law enforcement.

This position is 100% based on-site at Lucid’s headquarters in Newark, CA. Some travel (15-25%) will be required to Lucid facilities, both domestically and internationally to evaluate sites’ security posture and discuss security strategies with front line leaders.

You Will:

    • Set the vision, mission, and strategy for the Global Security team in line with business goals and long-term strategy.
    • Leverage data and metrics to set clear goals and to hold the Global Security team accountable to commitments.
    • Develop, implement, and/or mature the executive protection, investigations, threat management, crisis management, business continuity, travel security, security operations, and workplace violence prevention & intervention programs.
    • Leverage creative solutions and innovative technologies to scale security operations with the business as efficiently as possible.
    • Act as the senior-most incident commander for all incidents and crises under the scope of the Global Security & Business Resiliency team.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise security risk management framework that aligns with the company’s enterprise risk management structure and is consistent with the business’ risk tolerance.
    • Ensure global compliance with all federal, state, and local laws applicable to programs under the scope of the Global Security & Business Resiliency organization.
    • Effectively partner and align with business leaders and stakeholders across the company, such as Human Resources, Legal, IT, and Finance.
    • Provide strong financial stewardship of the Global Security budget to ensure spending is focused on supporting the needs of the business and does not exceed approved levels.
    • Lead and support sensitive investigations and legal matters with absolute discretion.

You Bring:

    • 15+ years of combined experience working in law enforcement and/or a corporate security role at a multinational company with at least 5 of those years in a managerial or supervisory role.
    • Experience leading corporate security teams in a retail and/or manufacturing environment is a plus.
    • Tuned into the outstanding needs of your audience and appreciates tone and influence of the specific message at hand.
    • Equally proficient in the ability to distill sophisticated data and details and translate them into audience appropriate messages.
    • Verifiable ability to influence and lead others, to solve complex and sensitive problems, and to work well under pressure.
    • Demonstrable technical depth and breadth of knowledge of security and management concepts.
    • CPP, CFE, ITPM, and other relevant certifications a plus.
    • Eligible for a U.S. government security clearance.

$185,000 – $264,000 a year

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
