What you will be doing

Director Manufacturing -The Supply Chain Department has an opening for a Director of Manufacturing.

The position will be based in Boise, Idaho or one of our main regional offices in Pleasanton, CA.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver operational KPIs & cost performance for assigned Plants
  • Develop and execute Leadership development process — succession planning, training, coaching, mentoring & evaluation
  • Develop and execute strategies for operational success — utilizing key performance indicators to benchmark & drive continuous improvement strategies across the business unit
  • Partner with key business groups — Retail, LFI, Product Development, Consumer Demand, Finance, Human Resources, Technical Services, Logistics, Sourcing & Engineering to support key initiatives & strategies that drive volume & profitability through your assigned Plants
  • Lead our assigned plants to drive organizational initiatives such: Sarbanes Oxley, Lean Culture, annual operating plans, financial analysis, project development & analysis, new product review/roll-out, safety & key initiatives/programs that drive cost performance and operational excellence.
  • Travel – approximately 60% to 70%

“The salary range is $ 135,800 to $ 190,100 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Management or Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility and a specialization in vertically integrated manufacturing preferred
  • Developing & managing annual operating plans
  • Experience with financial & business analysis
  • Experience in performance management, i.e. coaching and mentoring employees to obtain optimal results
  • Defining performance measures & inspiring a team to drive for results
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus
  • Results oriented — be a change agent
  • Strong computer skills — including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
