The Director, Holocaust Survivor Program and Valley Storefront Senior Center is responsible for providing overall leadership and administration for the program. They will oversee the daily operations and ensure the delivery of quality care coordination and senior center activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum LCSW or LMFT licensed by the State of CA Board of Behavioral Sciences preferred
  • Quality assurance experience strongly preferred
  • 2+ years progressive management experience required
  • Valid CA driver’s license and proof of insurance and ability to travel to multiple work sites on a regular basis
  • Program development, management and contract compliance experience strongly preferred
  • Solid clinical/case management background in direct experience, training and supervision
  • Expertise in the field of aging and senior services strongly preferred
  • Sensitivity and understanding of needs of special population of Holocaust Survivors and ability to work with lay committees.
  • Ability to develop a quality team of case management professionals through one-on-one supervisory and group/full team settings
  • Solid proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft suite: Word, Excel, etc.) and ability to quickly learn record/data base systems required
  • Experience with budget management preferred
  • Strong organizational, assessment, decision-making, problem-solving and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate and professionally communicate with staff and other stakeholders including grantors and regulatory agencies
  • High degree of detail orientation and analytical thinking required
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team and maintain professional boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities and complete projects within specified timeframes
  • Culturally sensitive and able to work with a multicultural client/customer population
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines as well as be flexible and dependable
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check (Live Scan fingerprinting) prior to beginning employment

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Provide overall team leadership and direction to support program strategic plan and development of Holocaust Survivor Program operations including application process, data gathering and analysis, timely submission of reports, distribution of funds, interaction with Advisory Board.
  • Provide oversight of daily operations of Valley Storefront Senior Center’s activities/events including daily Senior Nutrition Program. Liaison with Senior Director of Multipurpose and Senior Centers regarding programming provided through indirect reports including Activities Coordinator staff.
  • Hire, orient, and train staff, and student interns as needed.
  • Provide direct supervision and oversight to Case Management Supervisors, Intake Staff, Quality Assurance Staff and administrative personnel.
  • Provide weekly supervisory meetings with direct reports and full staff meeting weekly/bimonthly/monthly as appropriate. Create learning environment for training and other relevant professional development for staff.
  • Ensure the provision of effective interventions and positive client impact through enhancement of skills and staff development.
  • Collaborate regularly with QA Manager, Older Adult Services to discuss and implement program changes, application changes and funder compliance issues and quality improvement.
  • Monitor distribution of home care funds and inform executive staff of client trends that inform funding needs.
  • Ensure all aspects of Holocaust Services are in compliance with Claims Conference and other funder regulations/eligibility.
  • Assess case management training needs and create yearly training plan relevant to multicultural populations with wide variety of case coordination needs.
  • Collaborate with supervisor on annual budget development, participate in monthly finance budget meetings, and monitor and maintain budgetary oversight for Holocaust Survivor and VSF Senior Center programs.
  • Manage all aspects of contract compliance including oversight of development of protocols and procedures, creation of quality assurance plan, monitoring of key performance indicators, and program statistics, and preparation of internal and external reports as required.
  • Keep up to date with and communicate effectively and efficiently on any upcoming or immediate modifications to contracts regulations/requirements; implement staff meetings/other methods of communication as needed to update/train staff on changes affecting daily program operations, protocols, and service delivery.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve access and utilization of services to fully meet budget/contract goals.
  • Lead plan for preparation of charts for internal and external agency audits.
  • Maintain superuser expertise of Evolv electronic records platform and ability to pull and utilize reports for program oversight; monitor effective use of client records database by all staff.
  • Liaison with outside agencies, community members and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Attend meetings as assigned including supervision, management meetings, association meetings etc.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
