The Director, Infrastructure is responsible for the management, operations, and strategy of the IT infrastructure for RWE Clean Energy (RWECE). This includes planning, service desk and data center operations, telecommunications, network, storage, and disaster recovery functions. Additional responsibilities include the design, development, monitoring, and implementation of solutions and processes to ensure a robust, stable, and secured technical environment. The Director, Infrasture also provides oversight for consultants as necessary to support the IT infrastructure and its related projects and services and engages in the professional development of staff and hiring.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the IT infrastructure operations and the RWECE network integration to AG
- Manage and implement telecommunications/Network projects
- Execute and ensure cyber security standards across the IT/OT networks
- Develop and exercise disaster recovery plans
- Manage infrastructure budget
- Assist with the execution of cyber response plans
- Provide input to the Servicedesk support issues
- Ensure compliance for various IT assets, product licenses, and procedures
- Manage all IT-related equipment purchase orders and inventory
- Identify, review, select, and implement new technologies to improve the stability, safety, and security of the network
- Lead various IT-related strategic projects as assigned
- Work on various initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years experience in an IT Infrastructure leadership role
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Management required, or equivalent experience. Ten or more years of management experience is required for equivalency including managing a large infrastructure portfolio.
- Working knowledge of IT infrastructure architecture, telecommunication, Cloud, and data center operations processes
- An understanding of IOT and SCADA technology
- Good understanding of cyber security hygiene, tools, and compliance requirements
- Ability to work with multiple technology service providers
- Knowledge of networks, SAN storage technology, recovery technologies, O365 Tenant and Azure, VPN, and telecommunications
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent understanding of emerging computing & cloud technologies, cyber security threats, and remediation strategies
- Experience in managing IT infrastructure budget
- Experience leading personnel, mentoring IT associates, managing workflow, and promoting teamwork
- Must be able to travel to various Company locations and other external venues for business meetings as required
- Must be able to work off-hours and be on-call, when the need arises
Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $131,300 – $196,900. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
