We are looking for a Director of Logistics Finance to partner with VP of Logistics, Finance Team and cross-functional teams across the company working on financial strategy and analysis, long-term business planning, in logistics operations area. This includes driving evaluation of key financial and business initiatives, leading financial modeling and delivering accurate, data-based information and analysis. This role will play an integral part of the Finance team that directly helps secure the success of the company.
This individual will lead a team to support logistics cost analysis, decision-making, and management reporting for the executive team, board, and finance leadership. The individual must be innovative and highly analytical with deep business acumen, process orientation, excellent communication and collaboration skills and a proven track record of synthesizing and simplifying complex issues.
You Will:
- Consolidate and analyze financial data including budget, forecast and actuals reconciliations, period-to-period variance analysis, analyzing cost deviation with variance explanations.
- Be responsible for modeling business cases for multiple projects for global logistics footprint.
- Develop profitability models estimating capital payback periods and rates of return.
- Lead operating team alignment and decision making as pertains to financial implications; present data in cohesive reports that provide clear communication and recommendations.
- Partner closely with the logistics team to understand financial inputs regarding transportation, warehouse management, material planning, material demand and forecasting, to provide guidance on operating decisions.
- Additional ad-hoc assignments and projects supporting departments across the organization including month-end financial reporting, longer-term Business Plan development, benchmarking, and process analysis.
- Lead, coach and develop Finance Analysts to achieve world-class deliverables
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) – preferred
- 12+ years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years people manager experience
- Proven technical, quantitative, and critical-thinking skills, high level of independent judgment, initiative, and creativity to identify and clearly communicate key performance drivers to senior management
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results
- Demonstrated effective written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills
- Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
- Experience in technology, automotive, and / or transportation technology industries
$154,000 – $220,000 a year
Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
