Job Description
Directs, plans, and organizes the staff and operations overseeing sports and entertainment sponsorship and program activation, creating impact and unlocking business value with an existing portfolio of sponsorship entities including NY Islanders, NY Rangers, Mets, Jones Beach and more. Oversees the management of agency partners across strategic and integrated brand marketing and activation campaigns.
Job Responsibility
- Works with senior leadership to develop the strategic plans, policies, and procedures for sponsorships across the enterprise.
- Identifies and develops new initiatives and sponsorship opportunities and optimizes existing relationships and platforms consistent with the mission and strategic direction of the Health System.
- Establishes and measures performance against goals and objectives.
- Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
- Plans and directs the utilization of resources to support the strategic direction and operation of the marketing unit in support of the Health System.
- Implements strategic plans, drives departmental goals and objectives, and improves departmental performance across multiple sites.
- Serves as a mentor to junior staff and assists in career development planning for team members.
- Oversees contract negotiations and activation of all partnership elements including strategic planning of season-long activation programs, day to day partner activations and contractual deliverables.
- Reviews, authorizes, and prioritizes all financial expenditures by assessing profitability, alignment with business objectives and budget parameters.
- Develops and oversees operational, personnel and operating budgets.
- Oversees internal and external resource strategies including vendor, agency, talent and other outsourced service partner selection and management.
- Monitors and evaluates the impact of industry trends on the area’s current business performance and competitive outlook.
- Analyzes competitors’ actions, synthesizes information, and develops a cohesive, integrated marketing strategy and action plan for sponsorships and experience marketing.
- Ensures active communication with all external and internal constituencies to establish strong relationships that are complimentary and consistent with organizational goals and strategic needs.
- Conducts cost benefit feasibility studies to determine the viability of business initiatives.
- Partners with legal and compliance to protect Northwell as an organization, brand, and IP. Oversees the development, review of regulatory and policy compliant relationships and sponsorships.
- Develops and oversees implementation of current and long-term Human Resources goals and objectives for organizational development, recruiting, compensation, training and development and employee relations.
- Builds and maintains productive inter/intra departmental and vendor work relationships to optimize operations.
- Oversees compliance with government and agency regulations.
- Ensures adequate scheduling and assigns responsibilities to ensure an equitable distribution of work.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Master’s Degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field, preferred.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience and 7+ years of leadership / management experience, required.
- Experience and knowledge working with sports teams across sponsorship strategy and activation.
- Has ability to be strategic, creative and solution oriented.

The salary range for this position is $98,300-$170,100/year
