Job Description:

Intentionally cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and all (Phillips Center, Baughman Center, University Auditorium) visitors. Ensure accessible, fair, and equitable treatment for everyone in our diverse and valued team.

Serves as contract administrator on all performance agreements for all artists and attractions committed to public performances under the auspices of UF Performing Arts. Prepares performance agreements and when necessary, with mutually agreed upon modifications for Director’s signature.

Serves as liaison for the Director in interpreting issues involving various artists, agents, producers, management companies, as well as campus entities as appropriate.

Oversees organization’s education and outreach activities and staff, including promotion, scheduling, artist contact and day of event activities.

Oversees annual operating and programming budget for the department. Responsible for assisting Director in the administration, direction, and supervision of the activities. Provides administrative and financial recommendations for development of budgets, cost analyses and financial feasibility for new operations and ventures.

Serves as a member of UF Performing Arts Management team.

Expected Salary:

$75,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree and five years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience..

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in arts administration with working knowledge of the various functions in a presenting and producing organization emphasizing music, theatre, dance, spoken word and contemporary performance genres. Contracting and project management experience highly desirable. Knowledge of performance production and backstage operations highly desirable. Knowledge of education and community engagement practices. Excellent organizational skills, time management efficiency, and careful attention to details. Excellent problem-solving skills. Knowledge of computer systems and software highly desirable. Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, highly desirable.
