With the vision to “Build and sell intelligent cloud and intelligent edge solutions with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more,” Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is responsible for driving revenue outcomes with Microsoft’s Devices and Services partners through innovative solutions at scale.
As the Director of Business Operations, you will partner closely with the GPS Leadership Team (GPSLT) along with other leaders within the broader organization. You will have the opportunity to drive and influence the partner ecosystem transformation through near-term and long-term business planning while deeply collaborating with many teams on the business insights, operations, and processes to deliver on these future growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Computer Science AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in a business operations role
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Computer Science AND 10+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles
- OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or Computer Science AND 7+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience collaborating with and through a highly matrixed set of stakeholders with competing priorities to create aligned strategies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to synthesize complex issues and scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts with audiences of all levels.
- An understanding of Microsoft’s commercial business strongly preferred.
Business Management IC6 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 – $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 – $292,200 per year.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational processes that deliver excellence, clarity, and consistency for our internal teams to successfully plan and drive revenue for our partners.
- Define and lead strategic planning, execution and operations management for the GPS team.
- Lead overall Rhythm of the Business (ROB) and management on how we operate.
- Proactively engage with internal business partners to gain insights into our partner portfolio
- Manage the financial planning process through deep alignment with our key internal stakeholders, including annual revenue planning process and monthly tracking and overall operating expense (OPEX) budget management.
- Lead cross-team steering committees for each incentive or investment to create a One Microsoft approach.
- Simplify and inspire through storytelling and excellent communication skills.
