POSITION PURPOSE
The Director of Imaging Center is responsible for overseeing the planning, organizing, and coordinating of daily operations to ensure quality patient care and streamlined access to service for all imaging and radiation therapy patients. Responsibilities include hiring and managing staff, providing administrative and clerical services, inputting process improvement, and coordinating proper patient access and flow.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Directs and supervises staff and all technical and clerical aspects of imaging and radiation services including patient satisfaction and problematic issues as they arise.
- Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing specific operational objectives to provide cutting-edge patient-focused clinical care.
- Responsible for ensuring staff compliance in license renewal, continuing education, orientation, and re-orientation.
- Acts as project manager for all related software upgrades, conversions, or addressing any issues proactively.
- Responsible for the directing and supervising of staff and all technical and clerical aspects of patient coordination including access to service, patient satisfaction, and problematic issues as they arise.
- Supervise imaging and radiation therapy service staff daily. Roles include hiring, scheduling, monitoring productivity standards, departmental training, approving time off, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
- Enhance patient, and public relations by providing efficient and courteous service to all guests, clients, and staff and contribute positively to the team.
- Serve as an information resource for employees, assembling appropriate reference materials to help them perform their work more effectively.
EDUCATION CERTIFICATION
High school diploma or some college. Bachelor-s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of seven to ten years of patient coordination, or equivalent experience with three to five years of supervisor experience. Exposure in an oncology or imaging setting is highly preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent computer skills and EMR knowledge
- Strong management skills and dealing with conflict resolution
