Director of Information Technology

DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for building and implementing a technology vision that supports the company’s vision and goals. This position will plan, develop, implement, manage, and maintain all company technology applications, systems, infrastructure, security, and networks with support from an information technology team. The individual in this position must have an entrepreneurial mindset that can help set the trajectory of the IT department and company. This position will help with our internal software development. This position will provide daily operational support to Compellier’s sister company, Golden Trends.

  • Smart Batch Systems: An innovative startup making network connected small aggregate cement mixing heavy equipment that makes work crews safer and more productive while providing immediate access to productivity, progress, and issues on construction projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and manage the performance of an information technology team in accordance with our ICOMPEL Values

Create and execute a clear strategic technology vision that supports business objectives

Inspire team members to perform their best work through effective hiring, mentorship, coaching, training, and development

Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to understand business needs

Provide recommendations on new products or solutions that enable goals and integrate with current systems.

Lead software development teams maintenance and software development activities

Lead the selection, planning and implementation of new IT Systems that align with the Information Technology vision and company goals

Provides project management and cross-departmental coordination for the installation and integration of software and hardware implementations

Lead technology vendor relationships and the integration of external solutions with internal systems

Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the technology team

Lead with a customer service mindset and adjust platforms to improve the internal customer experience

Design, implement and maintain technology policies and procedures that are complaint with regulatory standards

Ensure all licenses, data and systems are secure and updated, conduct audits to identify areas of risk, and resolve issues with strategic solutions in a timely manner

Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Monitor changes in the technology sector to identify ways the company can improve and develop

Manage an annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Administer all information systems for Compellier and Golden Trends

Performs other duties as assigned

Actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 8 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.
  • Associate degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of experience in information technology with increasing responsibilities.
  • 5 years of experience leading people, projects, and/or initiatives

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of Acumatica, Criterion, and Sales Force

Knowledge of SQL Database, Azure Cloud Virtual Machines and App services, JavaScript/Node Applications, Raspberry

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office environment using computer equipment including a keyboard, mouse, and computer monitor.
  • Sedentary to light work exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently lift, carry, push, pull or move objects
  • Normal office noise levels
  • May be required to work non-standard hours
  • Cemplex Group locations are located across the US and travel may be required to support technology advancements

Salary

The salary range for this position is $130,000 – $145,000.
