Lockheed Martin (LM) is looking for a hardworking Software Configuration Management Engineer to become a member of the NextGen OPIR team.
In this role you will work on support software deployment and management for the NGG Factory. Specific responsibilities will include:
• Ownership and support of all aspects of software configuration management for a classified information system
• Defining and ensuring adherence to a software deployment process and approval workflows.
• Executing software vulnerability testing and reports both for initial deployments and for continuous monitoring.
• Use of software development tools for build, source control and change management.
Basic Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of the software lifecycle.
• Professional experience working as a programmer.
• Hands-on expertise with software source control software, preferably Git/Gitlab.
• Experience with configuration management tools.
• Solid understanding of software security assessment.
• Strong knowledge of container-based software deployment.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience with Red Hat Linux system administration, including package management.
• Experience with specific container and orchestration software like Ansible, OpenShift, Docker, Mirantis, Kubernetes, or similar.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $120,700 – $227,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
