Job Summary: This position will handle many aspects of the day to day operations of the Human Resources Unit in the Redbird Athletics Business Office. This position will handle all of the hiring process for new full time employees including creating/editing job descriptions, hiring requests, position and funding requests, job postings and make sure that all searches are completed in accordance with University policy. Responsible for onboarding of new hires by arranging interim housing when needed, coordinating moving expenses with the Business Office, ordering phone name changes, key requests, computer permissions, and making sure equipment is present prior to start date. Updating coaches’ contracts, managing the update of APN renewal contracts, and making sure the annual reviews occur in a timely and accurate fashion. This position will assist with the collection of necessary documents for FOIAs that arrive, track and fully execute all Game Contracts, and facilitate department orientation for new employees. This position will work with the IT department with all acquisitions, issues, ticket generation and tracking as well as the annual lifecycle order.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate: $21.52 – $24.15 per hour

Required Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, management, human resources, project management, sports management, accounting, leadership studies or related field 2. Two (2) years of full time or part time equivalent professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience. *A Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business, Sports Management, Recreation Administration, or Human Resources

Work Hours: This position works a standard work week of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in an office environment. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is occasionally required.

Functional Expectations: Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation: 1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods 2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work. 3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
