Job Description
Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is building a world-class product management organization and continues to look for top-notch product managers. As a Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for driving the product strategy, feature functionality and roadmap, and overall security/network device architecture. In addition to your own creativity, you will also rely on interaction with customers and partners to understand requirements and problems. You will be expected to deliver product functionality that matches Palo Alto Networks’ level of innovation found throughout the product. You will be involved in all stages of the feature lifecycle (conception, definition, development, release and post-release activities) managing strategic planning, feature selection and tactical activities. Other responsibilities include collaborating with Product Marketing to create product related sales and marketing materials; evangelizing the products and product strategy both internally and externally.
We expect office-based employees to be in the office four days per week, with one day working from where they choose. We believe being together facilitates casual conversations and those magic moments where we can work on issues and ideas informally. These moments build capability and deepen trusted relationships and allow our people to feel safe in taking risks and being disruptive. Like so many companies, we are working through the details and things could change …. but in general if a role is deemed office-based we want our teams to be together four days per week.

- Coach and mentor team members reach their full potential and further their careers
- Collaborate with engineering and product management leaders across the organization to help Palo Alto Networks deliver the best in class solutions
- Be intimately involved with the business to identify growth opportunities and leverage your business and technical skills to enter new markets
Qualifications
Your Experience
- BS or MS in a technical field (e.g. EE. CS) – MBA highly desirable or equivalent military experience required
- 5+ years of experience in a technical product management role preferably with enterprise networking, SD-WAN, DC networking, cloud based networking or related technologies
- 5 years experience managing high performing teams of product managers
- Track record of successfully launching net new products or offerings at scale within mature technology areas
- Strong analytical skills to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills to drive alignment at all levels of the organization and across cross functional teams

The Team
To stay ahead of the curve, it’s critical to know where the curve is, and how to anticipate the changes we’re facing. For the fastest growing cybersecurity company, the curve is the evolution of cyberattacks and the products and services that proactively address them. Our Product Management Team helps us do just that.
This team provides behind-the-scenes support for our products by being a source of information for our systems engineers, staying on top of the environment we sell in, and helping to implement technical solutions based on our client’s feedback and needs. As technology evolves, we stay ahead to accomplish our mission.
Our Commitment
We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo. It’s simple: we can’t accomplish our mission without diverse teams innovating, together.
