Director of Recruiting and Talent Management

The director is responsible for attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent for the organization. They will develop and execute recruitment strategies, oversee the hiring process and manage employee succession planning programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Work with leadership and marketing to develop recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels and determine future staffing needs
• Build employer brand through educating prospective employees on the culture and opportunities at Nelson Jameson
• Oversee the entire recruiting process from attraction through selection and job offer
• Manage all aspects of the pre-boarding process to ensure new employees have an exceptional experience.
• Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline of qualified candidates through direct recruiting, prospecting, referral sourcing, job boards, associations, targeted emails, and social networking
• Identify unique and non-traditional recruiting methods for attracting candidates
• Create, track and manage recruiting reports
• Conduct phone screens with potential candidates
• Utilize HRIS system recruitment module to its fullest capabilities.
• Utilize third party applications such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleges, universities, and high schools
• Attend and participate in job/internship fairs.
• Work with management to improve recruiting, hiring efficiencies, and reducing turnover.
• Create and maintain job descriptions with input from hiring managers
• Maintain records on recruiting activities, as required. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Manage the succession planning program and identify high potential employees and opportunities for professional development
• Work with VP of Employee Experience to set and monitor pay levels
• Manage and build the Nelson Jameson Internship program
• Provide input to help develop and maintain metrics to track the success of recruiting efforts as well as the success of succession planning
• Continuously improve the recruitment process by soliciting feedback from hiring managers and candidates and implementing change, as needed.
• Use data and analytics, such as time to fill and cost per hire, to help measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data driven recommendations.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
• Participate in the development and implementation of talent management programs, such as leadership development.
• Other duties as assigned.

Nelson-Jameson Offers:

Required Education and Experience:
• Education: High school degree or equivalent.

Preferred Education and Experience:
• Education: Post-secondary education with emphasis in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2 – 5 years related recruiting and general Human Resources experience.
